• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for critically ill patients admitted to the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
• Serve as an active member of the Eastern Region ECMO Team, participating in the management and respiratory care of patients receiving VA and VV ECMO support.
• Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, including ventilator setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, and weaning.
• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Obtain and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results to optimize ventilator settings and oxygen therapy.
• Administer oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, HFNC, CPAP, and BiPAP.
• Assist physicians during endotracheal intubation, extubation, bronchoscopy, and airway management procedures.
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway clearance techniques.
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response Team activations, delivering emergency respiratory interventions.
• Collaborate with intensivists, cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and clinical progress using electronic medical records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and international patient safety standards.
