Ash Ahmed, PhD, MRAeS, is an aviation and aerospace specialist with expertise spanning Airline Operations, Strategy & Development, Airport Infrastructure, and Aviation Security.

Airport, he supports strategic projects that deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, passenger experience, and long-term sustainability anchored by rigorous security frameworks. He also serves as a Consultant for Saffat Aviation Consulting and the Flight Safety Foundation, promoting safer, more resilient global air transport systems. His career has been shaped by global exposure and mentorship from aviation leaders, including Christoph Müller (former Chief Innovation & Digital Officer, Emirates) and Dr.

Evans (Professor, Carnegie Mellon University). As an Emirates Group Global Intern with the CMU–Emirates iLab, Ashique contributed to pioneering digital and security technology projects. Awarded the Dean’s School of Engineering Scholarship, he completed his PhD in Air Transport Management/Aviation at RMIT University while working full-time at Melbourne Airport.

Ash has represented Melbourne Airport and RMIT University at leading industry forums, including the Air Transport Research Society World Conference (Lisbon), the International Aviation Management Conference (Dubai), and the Global Aerospace Summit (Abu Dhabi). His research and insights—published by Airports Council International—have informed policy discussions with the US Transportation Security Administration and the Australian Airports & Government. An active member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UAE Forum & Melbourne Branch), Ash is committed to advancing secure, efficient, and future-ready aviation systems.
