I have been working as PYP, MYP, IB, and IGCSE Spanish Teacher for the past 14 years in various capacities and grade levels. In each class that I have taught, 100% of my students passed their exams and improved their scores comparatively. I have the PGCE Certificate since 2006 and Spanish is my native language as I was born in Venezuela.
I have 14 years’ experience as Spanish teacher at one of the top international schools in Beirut which is the International College as well as in Saudi Arabia which is The British International School of Jeddah. I worked collaboratively with colleagues to develop unit plans and assessment strategies and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5. I employed an inquiry-based approach in my lesson plans to cater for the different learning styles and to ensure that my students’ motivation to learn is maintained.
I worked at The British International School of Jeddah, and I am currently working at International College of Beirut as MYP and IB Spanish Teacher (Spanish Ab initio and Language B / SL and HL). I have a high ability to demonstrate outstanding practice and progress of students; in addition, I work effectively as part of a team. I am willing to attend professional development opportunities to develop and update my teaching strategies.
