Ensuring all foreman and supervisors are aware of safety requirements before commencing their work.
Conducts HSE audits and inspections as required and provides assistance during tenders.
Ensuring Contractors comply with contract HSE requirements.
Carrying out investigations of all incidents to determine root causes and learning values.
Reviews and monitors Job Safety Analysis and Unsafe Act/Condition Reporting (STOP) programmes for contractors.
Complying HSE statistics, analysis and develops remedial programmes.
Determining the cause of any accidental occurrence and recommend measures to prevent recurrences.
Taking part in discussion on injury, damage and loss control.
Being member of the Emergency Response Team and liaison with the Well Control Specialist to coordinate emergency drills and well control training.
Inspecting work site daily and correcting unsafe method and conditions.
Developing standardized practices and procedures for activities.
Attending workshops and courses to determine and cascade best practices.
Reviewing latest technology developments and recommends for application.
Assisting in developing of safety campaigns and coordinates a safety alert programme.
Assisting in evaluating the impact of global safety issues.
Providing assistance and support with environmental related issues as required.
Keeping record of all daily safety meetings on site complete with subject discussed and a signed list of attendees.
Attending job progress meetings where safety is an item on the agenda. Reporting on job safety performance.
Supervising the recording and analysis information on injuries, damage and production loss. Assessing accident trends and reviewing overall safety performance.
