Infinity QuestYou'll develop algorithms to match, conflate, identify anomalies, as well as improve the simplicity, scale, and efficiency of the systems to handle more and more data, as well as improving the turnaround time in order to keep the data as fresh as possible. As a part of this you are also expected to identify and propose improvements, such as automating parts of the current process and formulating requirements for new functionality and ways of designing such a solution.

Technical fundamentals — Can reason about complexity, understand practical trade-offs, and write clean code
Communication — Easy to talk to, take feedback without defensiveness, and discuss assumptions explicitly

Learning agility — Willing to pick up Scala, work with legacy code, and adapt quickly
Strong practical coding skills (can execute on the whiteboard)
Solid JVM/Java fundamentals (memory, GC, threading concepts)

Language flexibility (Java proficiency required; Scala/Go/Kotlin are bonuses, not must-haves)
To handle big data, application frameworks like Spark, Akka, Play Big data ETL and data streaming may come handy
