Java Software Engineer

Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Java Backend Developer – Senior Developer to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden. The role We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Backend Developer to join one of our agile cloud software teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based backend services that support next‑generation connected solutions.

You will work with modern cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and scalable backend systems, closely integrated with connected devices and platforms. This is a role where technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning are key. Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud backend services using Java

Build and evolve microservices supporting connected and remote functionality

Work in an agile, cross‑functional team with strong ownership of backend components

Ensure high quality, performance, scalability, and security of backend solutions

Collaborate with team members to influence technical decisions and ways of working

Participate in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Optionally broaden your scope into related areas such as mobile applications or embedded systems Experience / Background

Senior‑level experience in Java backend development

Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture

Solid knowledge of cloud backend development, preferably on AWS

Experience with Kafka and event‑driven architectures

Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Kustomize, and YAML

Experience building APIs using REST and/or gRPC

Strong database experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra)

Experience with Docker and containerized applications

Monitoring and observability experience using Grafana and PagerDuty

Comfortable working with Git, Jira, and agile development methodologies

Fluent in English, written and spoken

Valid driving license in Sweden Meritorious skills
