Role Overview:

As part of our Manufacturing Client's commitment to the ongoing energy transition and sustainable infrastructure, we are seeking a Project Lead Engineer for our Large Motors & Generators division.

Based in Västerås, you will act as the primary technical authority for synchronous condenser applications.This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical mastery and stakeholder diplomacy, ensuring that complex engineering projects are delivered safely, cost-effectively, and in full alignment with client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Lead all engineering activities, ensuring execution meets rigorous contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Stakeholder Interface:

Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal divisions.

Project Coordination:

Oversee the creation, review, and tracking of engineering change requests while managing the coordination of global engineering teams.

Operational Support:

Provide vital technical guidance to contract managers and support on-site commissioning and start-up activities.

Risk & Opportunity Management:

Identify and evaluate technical risks, implementing mitigation strategies while maximizing opportunities for platform reuse.

Sales Collaboration:

Support the sales team by providing technical expertise and documentation for new project tenders and offers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

Technical University Degree in a relevant engineering field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in a similar technical leadership role, preferably within the Power Systems or Energy sector.

Project Management:

Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams in a global environment.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong background in Power Systems and engineering-heavy industrial applications.

Communication:

Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken), with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
