Mats Holmquist

Thirty years of experience in management of R&D within academia, international pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Eighteen years in total, and ten years as a management team and scientific board member at BioArctic, being part of the companies successful journey from a small startup, to a 200 employee, profitable BioPharma company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. This has given me a unique real-world, hands-on perspective on the scientific, technical, clinical, strategic and organisational demands, of building a company and of bringing an innovative first in class medicine Leqembi (Lecanemab), for the treatment of Alzheimers Disease, from early discovery to the global market.

Twenty years of hands-on and leadership roles in drug discovery, preclinical and early clinical development, analytical and CMC drug development processes, quality assurance and IT-enabled innovation and R&D in global pharmaceutical companies.
