Backend Software Developer

Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications

Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle

Write testable, scalable, and efficient code

Debug and test new features and updates

Maintain up-to-date technical documentation

Participate in code reviews

Software Enhancement & Support

Provide L3 support, including enhancements and defect fixes

Improve performance and stability of existing production systems

Requirements

Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

5+ years' experience as a Java Developer/Software Engineer

Strong understanding of Java EE and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

Experience with Java frameworks such as JSF and Spring MVC

Proficiency in one or more:

EJB, J2EE

XML/XQuery/XSL

Linux/Unix/Solaris/Windows

Oracle SQL, JDBC

Java XML parsing

SOA

Perl, Python

Java-based web services & servlets

Cloud knowledge preferred (AWS, Azure, GCP certifications; experience with EC2, etc.)

Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)

Understanding of cloud governance, cost management, and monitoring

Additional skills (advantage): JSP/Servlet, JavaBeans, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Experience with test-driven development
