Software Engineer (C#, API)

• *Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer (C#) with key focus on design, develop, support and maintain application backbone, middleware and web services, supporting both BAU operations and project initiatives within the Financial Services Industry (FSI).

• *Mandatory Skill-set
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, and/or Computer Science;
• Must have at least 6 years of experience in C# .NET Development, design, implementation, and quality assurance;
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft C#, Web Services / WCF, SOAP 2.0 (XML) and REST (JSON), RESTful APIs;
• Understanding of SOAP, Webservices, and API versioning strategies;
• Good knowledge in WCF & MVC framework, Relationship Database Concepts, Object Oriented programming (OOP) and UML;
• Must have hands-on experience with MS SQL Server;
• Proficient in Git with solid grasp of Git workflows;
• Experience in Agile Scrum teams; familiarity with Jira and Confluence;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• *Desired Skill-set
• Working experience in Front End: React / Angular / Blazor.
• *Responsibilities**
• Engage in the software development, maintenance, and support of Microsoft.NET enterprise applications and Web services;
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation (in UML) utilizing Jira and Confluence to facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders;
• Conduct unit testing on software deliverables, and assist in product, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality outcomes;
• Review code and enforce best practices for quality, security, and scalability;
• Participate in production release planning across multiple development teams and external vendors to implement external interfaces/services;
• Provide post-implementation (L3) support by investigating and troubleshooting issues to guarantee uninterrupted operation of applications;
• Undertake any additional ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives and project needs.
