General Manager at Singapore Rowing Association (SRA) (2025-11 – Present). Responsible for national sports development strategy, covering athlete pathways, coaching capability, and volunteer and affiliate membership growth. Working to diversify SRA's revenue base through business development, sponsorship, and fundraising partnerships.
Manage full budget, financial controls, and project expenditure with direct accountability to EXCO. Primary point of contact with Sport Singapore, Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), and international rowing bodies. Oversee communications, facilities management, and asset maintenance to keep the organisation running effectively.
Head of Operations at Singapore Canoe Federation (SCF) (2024-07 – 2025-08) Ran two departments, Events and Operations, with responsibility for daily operations, programme delivery, safety standards, and budget management across all operation centres. Produced monthly financial reports for leadership and tracked expenditure against annual budgets for each centre. Managed end-to-end delivery of national and community sporting events, covering logistics, manpower planning, risk, and regulatory requirements. Handled all government and regulatory liaison with SLA, PUB, NParks, URA, and NEA to maintain compliance and secure permits. Worked alongside the High Performance and Events teams to make sure operational capacity matched programme demands.
• Brought in an additional $200K in revenue by building partnerships with schools and corporate partners for outreach programmes and community events • Grew 1-Star paddling certification enrolments to around 2,500 per year through structured school engagement and programme development.
Managing Director at JO+ Plus / ALKO+ (2020-06 – 2024-07) Full P&L owner across First Mile, Last Mile, Freight, and Customs, responsible for cost control, margin improvement, and market expansion. Put in place scalable processes and technology integrations including automation, route optimisation, and tracking systems that made operations more reliable as volume grew. Set up a performance management framework with clear KPIs and OKRs shared across operations, sales, and customer service. Built and managed a network of 3PL, customs broker, and warehouse partners, formalising collaboration through shared systems and service agreements. Dealt directly with government and regulatory bodies to stay compliant and support expansion into new markets.
• Expanded from Singapore into Malaysia, building out cross-border logistics and e-commerce fulfilment in a second market • Team grew from 7 to 15 people as the business scaled. Hired and developed talent across all functions • Handled over 200 shipments a month and pushed on-time delivery from 92% to 98% through better routing and tighter process controls.
Global Head of Operations at ABB Private Limited (2018-09 – 2020-05) Ran global operations for the Control Division and owned the Supply Chain roadmap across planning, fulfilment, and service spares lifecycle. Chaired the global S&OP process with Commercial, R&D, Regulatory, Factory, Quality, and Finance, keeping cross-functional teams aligned to shared targets. Developed long-term supplier partnerships and alternative sourcing options to reduce cost and supply risk. Set up a Centre of Excellence for supply planning improvement and tracked performance across delivery, inventory, forecast accuracy, and cost savings.
• Merged two operation centres in Sweden and Singapore. Tightened governance and collaboration, lifted OTD from 70% to 96% in under a year • Replaced underperforming 3PL, negotiated better rates, saved $84K annually, and improved delivery performance from 85% to 98% • Stood up global S&OP teams across 3 business lines. OTD moved from an average of 70% to 96% within 12 months • Deployed Optimity forecasting system, cutting the planning cycle from one week down to four hours • Process improvement initiative moved SOTD from 40% to 75% in two quarters.
Head of Business Operations, APAC at Hillrom Services Private Limited (2016-12 – 2018-08). Built the APAC operations function from scratch, defined the strategy, hired the team, and put the infrastructure in place for a start-up regional business. Developed S&OP for the region, transforming how channel partners were managed and improving commercial performance across indirect markets. Owned the APAC Technical Service roadmap, focused the team on service revenue capture and customer retention. Managed portfolio strategy and pricing for Sales and Marketing go-to-market activity and reviewed regional budget and profitability.
• Won first business in Korea, generating $1.2M in year one after finding, evaluating, and signing a new GSS distributor • Set up a direct business in Japan with proper O2C processes. Revenue went from $2.1M to $3.4M in the first year • Cut channel partner roster from 97 to 68 by enforcing clear performance standards and removing underperformers • Service revenue grew from $4.8M to $6.4M after building a dedicated service team in APAC • Recovered US$1M in long-overdue receivables through persistent review and structured payment negotiation.
Head of Business Process Excellence APAC (progressive roles: Director CS&Q ASEAN; Master Black Belt SEA) at Schneider Electric Pte Ltd (2007-11 – 2016-11) Over 9 years, moved through four progressively senior roles covering process excellence, customer quality, service operations, and Six Sigma deployment across Asia Pacific. As Head of BPE APAC (2011 to 2016): ran the Customer Project Office within the Zone Execution Centre, set regional KPIs, managed Monthly Performance Reviews, and led complex cross-functional projects that improved operational metrics across Global Sales Clusters. As Director, Customer Satisfaction and Quality ASEAN (2009 to 2011): accountable for customer experience across Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Set up the procurement function from scratch, including KPIs and 3PL purchasing.
Belt SEA (2007 to 2009): ran Lean and Six Sigma improvement projects across commercial and manufacturing sites throughout Southeast Asia and trained managers and project sponsors.
• Tender management programme lifted project hit rate by 13.3% and improved operating margin by 4.3% • Resolved a major product failure dispute, saving US$1M through investigation and negotiation • Customer satisfaction index improved from 46.7% to 55.3% within 12 months after streamlining ASEAN service processes • Six Sigma training programme saved EUR1M. The continuous improvement team ran 80 projects a year and removed the need for external consultants • Moved ASEAN shared service functions to the Philippines, creating a more efficient operating structure for the region.
Manager, Global Inventory, Power Generation Business Unit at Cummins Power Generation Pte Ltd (2001-03 – 2007-10). Managed a US$260M global inventory portfolio for the Power Generation Business Unit across all worldwide sites. Partnered with Finance on quarterly and annual inventory targets, policy, and forward forecasts. Provided supply chain leadership and strategy for all PGBU sites globally and coached site teams to diagnose problems and hit inventory targets.
