Ameera Aslam

For over 13 years, I have developed content strategies and managed content for both print and digital media. I oversee content calendars for organisations across their digital landscape - blogs, newsletters, and social media channels. I am a creative with a keen eye for detail who enjoys translating an organisation's vision into a voice that their audience understands.

As a Content Specialist, I track consumer and content analytics to ensure content is engaging while remaining true to the company's brand. I have a strong understanding of SEO and SMO, and am adept with content management systems.

A true lover of words, my first poetry anthology won the Daybreak Press Book Award in 2021, and I have a second book of poetry on the way. I have led poetry readings and writing workshops online and in-person. My essays and written work have been published on local and international media platforms and publications. I regularly edit and proofread books/book chapters, theses, zines, and magazine articles.

I am a Co-Founder for #SGMuslims4MigrantWorkers, raising funds and awareness towards the treatment of migrant workers in Singapore. Our work has been featured on Straits Times, Berita MediaCorp, Berita Harian and others.

Feb 2020 - Jan 2023: Content Specialist, Global

• Planned and implemented editorial calendar and content for company’s blog and social media channels, with a combined audience of over 130k. Grew the company’s Facebook audience from 78k to 93k, and Instagram followers from 28k to 41k.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing goals and efforts are aligned, internally and externally. Created marketing campaigns and collaterals for new product releases - videos, blogposts, newsletters, social media posts, lead-generating downloads, landing pages etc.
• Worked with the team responsible in organising the company’s first Keynote event.
• Published the company’s first yearbook. Was personally responsible for the theme development and overall contents and design of the book. Worked closely with Leadership, Design, People Operations, and across the staff to create something that everyone was proud of.

Apr 2018 - Jan 2020: Regional Director (APAC)

• Led a team that was responsible for growing LaunchGood’s business operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Company’s revenue from APAC was USD$985k with 6,874 donors in April 2018. In January 2020, the revenue had increased to USD$4.6million with 38,933 donors.
• Growth efforts included strategic local and regional partnerships, targeted marketing campaigns, and making product suggestions to tweak existing products to t new audiences’ needs.

February 2017 - Mar 2018: Customer Experience Advisor

• Consulted individuals, charities, and organisations on their fundraising efforts on LaunchGood to ensure maximum success.
• As part of the customer experience team, ensured the team is trained and provided training.
• Identified customer needs, responded to customer queries, and collaborated with internal departments to optimize customer services and brand awareness in order to keep fine-tuning the customer’s experience.
• Verified and reviewed fundraising campaigns to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
