- Completed 3 months internship. During the tenure we were mostly working in shipyard and have experience in installing various machineries such as diesel engines, coolers and pumps into tugboat.
- My senior colleagues and I responsible in checking the alignment of the tug boats propeller shaft. We managed to install the kort nozzle propellers into tug boats within the time period.
- Gained an intermediate knowledge & skills on working environment on shipyard.
Engine Cadet at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (2016-09 – 2018-12)
A ship management company based in Singapore, that operates various merchant ships such as LPG, LNG tankers and dry fleet vessels.
- I was exposed to 4stroke engines major overhauling, ALFA Laval purifiers assembly and disassembly, renewal of mechanical seals in centrifugal pumps and basic watchkeeping duties & responsibilities.
- Assisted Chief Engineers in multiple Port State Control inspections, class and annual surveys.
Junior Marine Engineer at Raffles Shipmanagement Pte.Ltd (2019-11 – 2020-07)
One of the largest shipmanagement company centered in Singapore that owns and operates various fleets of oil & chemical tankers.
- As a preparation to become a 4th Marine Engineer officer, I learned the responsibilties & job scope of the mentioned rank. I also independently learned and conducted watchkeeping of the ship's engine room.
- Assisted 4th Engineer in overhauling centrifugal pumps, fresh water generators and purifiers.
- Had sufficient technical expertise and knowledge to be Fourth Engineer.
Fourth Marine Engineer at Raffles Shipmanagement Pte.Ltd (2019-11 – 2022-10)
- Promoted to 4th Engineer. Primaly involves in maintenance & troubleshooting of all centrifugal pumps, purifier, compressors. I also responsible of taking soundings of all fuel, lub oil and bilge tanks and report it to Chief Engineer.
- The only Malaysian Engineer to be working onboard the vessel with full Chinese Nationality crew. A great social skills has lead an effective communication between the crew and myself.
- I do have an extensive dry docking experience at Pax Ocean Singapore for 1 month where major ship repair fabrication, engine overhauls and hull painting was conducted.
Third Marine Engineer at Raffles Shipmanagement Pte.Ltd (2023-04 – Present)
- With excellent work ethics I was promoted to third engineer under the same company and was incharge of more critical equipments such as ship's generators, boilers and economizers.
- Managed to coordinate the team to conduct top & major overhaul of ship generators within 3 days.
- Very familiar and highly proficient in installing and dismantling ship's turbocharger.
- Able to plan and execute major maintenance of ship's boiler's which is cleaning the boiler tubes and main burner's in just 4 days time.
- Have extensive experience major overhauling 2 stroke engine MAN B&W, J-ENG, Sulzer RTA. Experience in dry docking where I was involved with shore team to do crosshead and main bearing renewals of 2 stroke engines.
