Being a marketing promoter for Food panda had help to understand how difficult it is t o promote something because I was told to go around Singapore and place marketing materials in restaurant. At first, I thought it was an easy job because its just pasting it, however i realised that this was not the case. In fact, it was difficult because i realised that to paste the marketing materials i would need to confidence to go up to the store manager and speak to them, this is to seek permission from them to paste the materials. As an ambivert being so upfront and asking people whether i can paste something is challenging me.
This job did challenge my greatest weakness which is to be more extroverted and talk to others, which works because it has shown improvement now. In school I can be more upfront and talk to others that I don't know.
As this marketing promoter is own time own target, thus it requires great responsibility. During the process I did not so responsibility to this job because of my laziness, I have told myself that I still have time I can go tomorrow and give out the promoting materials, however that is where it went downhill. Due to my laziness, I did not finish 2 to 3 stalls. Which made me got scolded and made me felt bad because I am paid to do this, but I did not fulfil my part as a promoter. Thus, I paid my friend to help me finish the last 3 stalls as my school started so I can't finish the last 3 stalls
This really taught me to be a more responsible person be it in life or school. I learn that in the workforce I should be more responsible
