I was a student in the School of Chemicals and Life Sciences, Singapore

Polytechnic. I hold a Diploma in Biomedical Science, Medical Technology being my area of specialization. In this specialization, I learn about various diseases as well as basic information such as their pathogenesis, transmission, symptoms, and treatments.

I have also studied modules such as blood banking and hematology. I have learnt some valuable clinical laboratory skills including blood typing, the running of clinical chemistry laboratory tests, as well as sample investigation techniques such as osmotic fragility tests, peripheral blood film preparation and full blood counts. I have gained valuable knowledge in the fields of immunology,

microbiology, physiology, biochemistry, histopathology and hematology.

I have interned at HSA for 6 months, from September 2021 to February 2022. I was a laboratory officer for the blood services group. My main responsibilities were crossmatching and serological investigation of transfusion reactions, as well as handling packing of issued blood and returns. I also type and dispatch cases.

My highest education is Diploma in Biomedical Science, Singapore Polytechnic. I was in the medical technology specialisation.
