I am a masters-level economist health economist. In my current role I undertake economic modelling and analysis for the purposes of generating submissions to public funding agencies.
A day in my life involves generating applications for pharmaceutical subsidy, economic modelling, critical appraisal of and obtaining clinical advice on assumptions and finally producing written reports on the cost effectiveness of a funding proposal. I've had significant success in securing funding for pharmaceuticals.
Beyond that, I take a strong interest in developing methodologies for economic assessment and decision making.
I'm particularly interested in the measurement of quality of life. I have familiarity with a number of analytical tools and methods for this purpose.
I'm also very interested in health ecosystem shaping for the medicines industry. In particular looking at the impacts of organizational design and organizational methodologies on the outcomes achieved for countries pharmaceutical subsidization programs. I'm privileged to work in an organization that strives to promote excellence in that space.

Prior to that I was a policy official in a range of government departments (e.g. Central Finance Ministry, Ministry for Industry Policy, Ministry for Research, Science and Technology).
