I have recently completed my diploma in Sports and Exercise Science at Republic Polytechnic and plan to pursue a psychology degree next year. I am particularly drawn to human resource positions because it presents growing opportunities for acquiring skills and experiences relevant to organisational psychology, as well as human capital management.

I am passionate about understanding individuals and exploring how their unique characteristics are able to complement organisations to drive business development, all while maintaining their well-being. My career motivation also derives from helping people to achieve greater heights, which perfectly with the nature of this position.

My interest in human resources was strengthened when working with Prudential, as I acquired basic recruitment skills such as screening through resumes and assessing candidates’ competencies, as well as arranging for interviews. Through my internship with TriGen and Halogen Foundation, I gained proficiency in administration, organisation and management. I had also evaluated volunteers’ competencies, created a standard operating procedure for contacting stakeholders, and developed a recruitment brochure on Canva. Please refer to my resume which further outlines my qualifications and achievements. I am confident that my skills and experiences equip me well for this role, and I am eager to leverage them to make a meaningful contribution to the company and potential employees.

Beyond these technical skills, I possess valuable soft skills, including communication, critical thinking, and a strong sense of responsibility. My adaptability in communication allows me to connect meaningfully with key stakeholders, while my analytical skills enable me to identify suitable candidates. I am also capable of effectively addressing challenges, taking strong ownership of my work, and I am a quick learner who is keen to learn new tasks.
