Eric’s experience in conducting various WSQ modules over the years has provided him first-hand look into the concerns of the learners. From the elderly learning new technologies, and adults seeking a change in their careers, to equipping prison inmates with the knowledge as well as the feeling of readiness to reintegrate into society. Eric seeks to inspire these groups of individuals to be ready always when it comes to the topic of change. His training methodology includes self-reflections, collaborations as well and sharing of good practices in work and life. Eric started training inmates in the Singapore Prison under the Yellow Ribbon Project. Facilitating topics from workplace skills as well as generic manufacturing skills, Eric hopes that the inmates will be able to apply these skills and make a contribution to society upon their release.
Currently employed by Tung Lok Millennium as their Training Manager, Eric’s key responsibilities are training the internal as well as the external team. Developing, formulating, and implementing training & development objectives in line with organizational goals and business strategies. Eric’s duties include helping the service staff at the outlets with order taking, turn around of tables as well as serving of dishes. Experiencing these roles enables him to have a better understanding of the job requirements as well as build trust in the team. It also gives him a first-hand look on how the operation functions, thus a clearer analysis on their training needs.
