Gauri Satpute

I am a passionate environmentalist with 7 years of community work experience in Municipal solid waste management in India and Singapore. I have worked for 12 years in corporate finance and accounts before moving into environmental sustainability. My mission has been to build acceptance around food waste valorization.

I have designed and implemented home and community composters in Singapore which are one of the most economical and effective composters in the market. I do advocacy around waste segregation, recycling right and zero waste living.

• Making inroads in making in-situ composting acceptable in Singapore since 2020.
• Delivered on several community level composting projects involving more than 50 households, some of which had won a grant from SG Eco Fund. Installed and demonstrated composting solutions in community gardens and schools.
• More than 100 home composters sold, 12 community composters installed.
• Developed a card game on waste segregation to build better waste awareness in Singapore.
• 100+ hours of hands on and online workshops conducted across Singapore.
