Jackson Chua

I am an ambitious and driven senior level professional with more than 10 years of experience in conceptualizing, directing and executing projects for various brands.

Starting out in my career as a jack of all trades, I've had a great deal of work in the editing and motion graphics aspects of any video production. Working with a wide variety of governmental and corporate clients, I've developed into a fast and creative creative in the video industry.

Adept at turning concepts into videos and in particular, working with younger crew. I've also been inspired by their creative views to challenge my own personal skills, making myself more relevant for the future.

I am looking for new challenges to share my expertise and to nurture potential video creatives at the beginning of their journey.

As a means to add depth to my exposure in the media industry, I co-founded Konclave Studios with the intention of learning everything I can; by starting my own business. In the years that follow, skills such as business handling, client relationship-building, and technical knowledge came with sometimes hard earned lessons.

I am glad that the company has survived, even during turbulent times such as the pandemic. Being a small business owner, I now operate with a high level of autonomy, but I am also a more collaborative person; able to quickly consult my team to leverage on their strengths. Being an innate problem solver, my company has afforded me the chance to learn how to lean in to a client’s need and bring solutions to the forefront.

My experiences with a huge variety of media related genres and technologies, skills with managing a team and client relationships; are insights I believe will make me a valuable asset to any team.

Looking to revitalise my career after a spell in engineering, I looked around to embark on a route to fulfill my creative leanings.

I came across Raffles Design Institute (now Raffles College), I worked away for two years to achieve my Advanced Diploma in Multimedia Design. In that course, I found my calling to be in the video industry. Enamoured and curious about the behind the scenes of a video production, I decided during the course that I will pursue further a career in the video production industry.
