Jessica Chan

My name is Jessica and I am a second-year student in Singapore University of Social Sciences currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management and Events Management as my minor.

Often, during my school holidays, I would look for part-time jobs to increase my confidence level and working experience. My Internship Programme at Kelly Services Pte Ltd had served as an opportunity for me to gain more working experience and knowledge before entering the workforce. During the 6 months of Internship at Kelly Services, I had obtained useful knowledge such as areas relating to Payroll, Finance, etc and all knowledge learned in school was very beneficial for my Internship.

I would like to work in a business industry and aspire to become a Human Resource manager in the near future. I hope to continue my career by further studying and also working under the Human Resource Department.

With regard to my working experience, I have worked with Government Technology Agency as an Information and Distribution Ambassador where I issued and replaced TraceTogether Tokens to the public which contributed to the overall effort of keeping Singapore safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, I handled the daily opening and closing to account for the number of tokens and transactions.

I have also worked with Kelly Services as a Payroll Assistant where I documented timesheet entries involving candidates' salaries and leaves. In addition, I handled various invoices for clients and managed branch payroll and billing.

I also have experience working with the People's Association as a Constituency Support Officer where my job duties involve front desk duties, data entry and filing.

I am second-year student, currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management with a Minor in Events Management at Singapore University of Social Sciences.
