About

I am a professional specialized in mental health and personal development, with a specific focus on the treatment of stress, anxiety and depression disorders. My academic training includes a bachelor's degree in Social Communication, a diploma in Journalism and a certification in Coaching, from the Santa Maria University of Venezuela; as well as a Master's Degree in Emotional Intelligence and Personal Development, at the Higher Institute of Psychological Studies in Spain, and a certification in Psychological Counseling, at The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore.

I bring significant work experience in the mental health sector, having worked at Attitude & Psychology, a mental health center in the United States, as a specialist in communication, personal development, and emotional intelligence. My practice integrates accurate assessment of emotional and psychological needs, the application of positive behavioral interventions, and stress management using evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, rational emotional-behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.

In addition to my clinical skills, I have demonstrated experience writing scientific articles and a novel that delves into the psychological experience of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and Ulysses Syndrome in the context of the challenging political and social reality of Venezuela. My early career as a journalist equipped me with crucial skills like empathy, resilience, and assertiveness. Over eight years working in the field of Coaching, I have successfully transmitted these skills to my patients, demonstrating the value of these competencies in their personal development journey.

My goal is to use my unique set of skills and experiences to provide guidance in an environment that values self-understanding, personal growth, and effective management of negative emotions, to the improvement of the mental health of the work team and client, in an adaptive way to their needs and promoting resilience and emotional well-being.

Experience

In my current role at Attitude & Psychology, I provide comprehensive assessments of patients' emotional and psychological needs, thereby facilitating their processes of self- discovery and self-improvement within the therapeutic framework. My responsibilities include training patients in self-awareness and introspection techniques to promote personal growth and problem solving. I also design and implement emotional well-being and personal development programs, integrated into therapeutic treatment plans.

I have successfully applied positive behavioral interventions in therapy and have been instrumental in drafting scientific articles for the company's website. My work has shown tangible success, with over tens of patients experiencing significant improvements in their mental well-being after undergoing sessions with me.

One of my key achievements has been the creation of an intervention manual based on the core principles of rational emotional-behavioral therapy and emotional intelligence. This led to the development of a personalized therapeutic approach focused on equipping patients with skills to cope with anxiety and depressive mood.

Before, in my role as a journalist at Voluntad Popular Internacional, I provided strategic communication advice to members of the Venezuelan political party based in New York, including important figures in Venezuelan politics, whose identity is protected due to confidentiality agreements. My responsibilities included writing press releases for American media.

I successfully enhanced the communication relationships between the Venezuelan political party Voluntad Popular and American media outlets, such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Miami Herald. This achievement significantly improved the party's visibility and representation in the North American media landscape.
