I tend to treat a recurring alarm as a question rather than something to clear. In a semiconductor fab, recurring alignment alarms had become routine despite causing wafer scrap and production losses. By working back through the alarm records, I identified recurring faults and proposed improvements that reduced alarm frequency by 80%.

That same investigative mindset carried into diagnosing equipment faults and troubleshooting marine navigation systems, where the root cause is rarely where the symptom appears. I investigate the unknown. Throughout my career, I've found the greatest satisfaction in understanding why systems fail, questioning anomalies instead of accepting them.

Alongside engineering & finance, I developed the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into practical recommendations for non-technical audiences. I completed the Certificate in Windows Forensics & Incident Response with the Centre for Cybersecurity Institute and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, gaining hands-on experience with TCP/IP, Wireshark and Network Troubleshooting. I specialised in Network Communications at Singapore Polytechnic, with hands-on experience in network analysis and troubleshooting, complemented by practical cybersecurity training.
