Kelly Tan

I am a Year 3 double degree student studying Business and Information Systems at SMU. I have a strong interest in fashion and am looking for internship opportunities that are able to help increase my exposure and deepen my understanding of the fashion industry. In my free time, I enjoy learning new languages and I have learnt Spanish, French and Korean over the past few years!

I have previously done a Merchandising internship at Louis Vuitton between May and July of 2023. I was attached to the Accessories and Fragrances department where I was mainly responsible for creating content for weekly newsletters that aimed to help the retail team focus on key products leading to weekly sales increases for the South Asia Zone. I also managed and updated product category lookbooks to aid in product offering analysis as well as produced lookbooks for weekly new launches to keep the South Asia retail team updated on new product launches.

Other responsibilities included assisting in buy preparations to consolidate, organize and update buy quantities as well as preparing market needs analysis for the Central team to reflect the South Asia zone’s needs and requests.

I am a Year 3 student currently pursuing a double degree in Business Management and Information Systems in SMU, with a major in Operations Management. I have also attended courses in basic Python programming and have certificates from the following programs: AI100 Heicoders Academy (Python Programming and Data Visualization), AI200 Heicoders Academy (Machine Learning).
