Kym Ng

I am an undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), pursuing a degree in Chemistry and Biological Chemistry. Before this, I studied Medicinal Chemistry at Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and had the opportunity to intern with Wilmar International. This experience solidified my interest in Chemistry and motivated me to pursue my current major at NTU.

Although I may not have extensive experience in the science industry, I am confident that the skills I have gained through previous jobs and leadership roles are transferable to any industry. As a hands-on individual, I am also confident that I can quickly acquire the relevant skills for any field.

I am eager to connect with more people and broaden my horizons.

I held multiple internships and a receptionist position. In the DSM Microbiology Internship, I was responsible for preparing raw materials, agar and broth for bacterial growth analysis, and maintaining laboratory housekeeping. As a receptionist at the School of Physical and Mathematical Science, I handled basic receptionist duties, such as answering queries and sorting letters and parcels. At Grab, I worked as an Account Coordinator, responsible for arranging training sessions and payment logs for drivers to be eligible for different service types, and handling data entry and inventory checks. Lastly, during my internship at Wilmar International Limited, I was involved in planning and problem-solving experiments, as well as analysis and characterization of enzymes.
