Luke Mason

I am an active swimmer and a key member of the Aquathlon Team at SMU. I am a keen badminton player having become the Intramural Badminton Captain and league winner in 2020. In my spare time, I enjoy walking and I like to challenge myself regularly. I completed the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, and I am very proud of that accomplishment. I completed 100 miles in 30 days Run for charity during the COVID-19 lockdown, which I think displays my ability to push myself to achieve tough tasks.

I am an LLB Law undergraduate from the University of Exeter with aspirations of forging a successful career as a solicitor. I am driven, hard-working, and organised team-player. I have developed numerous transferable skills through my legal and other professional work experience, and my academic career, which I know will make me an asset to any firm.

I am currently on placement in Singapore for one academic year at the highly respected and prestigious SMU and I am the International Exchange Ambassador. I am studying International Anti-Corruption Compliance Law and Practice, Sustainability Law, International Mediation Law and Practice, International Investment Law and Dispute Resolution, and Sentencing Advocacy. I chose to study abroad to experience another culture and hopefully gain some skills and knowledge that I may not have had access to in the UK.
