My name is Noornazreen and since 2011 I have worked as Uniformed Police Officer (PO) for a decade. In 2021, I graduated from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) in Psychology and Security Studies.
I was intrigued in studying about humans and the science behind our actions hence I decided to take up the degree in Psychology. The more I read, study, and learn about humans and our actions, I am more passionate to pursue Psychology as a career.
During my career as a PO, besides being able to communicate and help Members-Of-Public, I have led several projects and handled paperwork as a secondary role. I have been trained to stay calm and make decisions during high pressure and time-sensitive situations.
I hope my experience in communicating with various and different types of MOPs during my PO stint will value add the organisation
I worked as a Police Officer at Singapore Police Force for 11 years. I am a uniformed, ground response officer. I attend to different types of ‘999’ calls made by public ranging from noise pollutions, family disputes and subjects being armed with weapons.
As a secondary role, I am a Group Leader in a team of 20pax, and a Senior Trainer for Police Contact Tactics. I have organise and led projects in my Neighbourhood Police Centre
I took a degree in Psychology(Major) and Security Studies(Minor) in Singapore University of Social Sciences. I did part-time studying and full time working hence am equipped with time management and staying calm in heated situations, and making decisions under pressure.
I was intrigued to take Psychology as a degree as I was interested in the science behind humans and our actions. Eventually, I wish to give back to the society.
