Oh Wei Qi

I am a Singapore-based multi-disciplinary creative who specialises in fashion designing, digital marketing, creative business management, and fine arts. I studied diploma in Fashion Design, a degree in Fashion Media and Industries, and a master's in Design Management.

As a creative individual who started drawing at 5 years old, my curiosity and passion she has for arts grew immensely towards the beauty and fashion sector. From volunteering in fashion runways to participating in various fashion and arts competitions, I have also attained several design awards, some of which are the "REMIX 2K21 Fashion Design Competition by SCCC", "Top 10 Designer Of The Year for 2019 and 2020", as well as being part of the winning group of "Tag Heuer 2020 CNY Window Display Competition", and more.

I am a curious, goal and detail-oriented individual who takes communication, team building, and learning seriously.

• Ocean Napkins (Self-employed): I founded a sustainable swimwear brand in March 2023, where I organise short and long-term business plans for my startup. It comprises business plans, branding, marketing, merchandising, and management for the brand from front to end. Through my expertise in fashion design, fashion marketing, and business management I attained my studies diploma to master's studies

• Private Art Tutor (Freelance): I organise and facilitate learning for my private 1-1 art class students. Classes range from cultivating an appreciation for art to facilitating the preparation of art portfolios for art school admission for kids ranging from adults. 

• CHANEL Executive Sales Assistant (Temp, Part Time): In my temporary part-time job as an executive sales assistant, I engage with luxury brand clients on a day-to-day basis, playing a pivotal role in creating desire and maximising all sales opportunities. My skillsets include displaying patience and understanding, attention to detail, standing at the forefront of the business, and adding value to the client’s experience.

• VISUAL ART CENTRE Art Teacher (Part-Time): I organise and establish clear objectives for all student's lessons, units, and projects and to communicate those objectives to students. Through my preparation of student's materials, I also supervise creative and engaging games and other recreational activities to promote physical, mental, and social development in art. I was also placed in charge to facilitate the children's weekly classes. My job description includes Teaching Art, Design, and Creative Thinking to Kids and Adults. From focusing on educating and nurturing kids to express artistic ability, and creativity through the principles of art and techniques, my goal is to encourage students and children to express their own personalities and thoughts through the creative process. On top of organising classes, I also help to facilitate private art exhibitions from local and international artists, as well as organising the payments and finance of the center.

This program focuses on communication and the business of fashion. Completing an understanding of the interplay between fashion media, fashion entrepreneurship and the socio-cultural significance of fashion underscores the competitive edge of the program. The program is developed in response to the growing need to cover the spectrum of new creative roles within the fashion and lifestyle industries.

Students will acquire a broad range of skills and understand areas such as Art Direction, Branding, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Curation, Fashion Narratives, Fashion Retail, Image Making, and Marketing.
