Priya Balakailasam

I have over 10 years of teaching experience. Currently I am working in GIIS, Singapore as a Secondary Mathematics teacher. I am a very dedicated, Sincere, hardworking teacher who has passion for teaching. I believe that Students will learn things by doing and i prefer learning based on activity which later help them to connect with the real life. As a teacher, I want my students to be active learners with 21st century skills.

Some of my job responsibilities include teaching, preparing of lesson plan, assessment plan, Curriculum design, Instructional design, Worksheets, question papers , quiz in google form, online teaching with iPad, blended lesson plan, report card , daily log, weekly and monthly update, mark entering in drive, sharing of files in the drive, answer paper correction, classroom management, doubt clearing session, remedial teaching, preparation of video lessons.

I have won National Teachers competition-'TEACH-A-THON',2021 conducted by IIEM Bangalore, securing overall second prize in Mathematics. I also secured first in 'Assessment Design’ conducted by IIEM.

I am a very fast learner and very adaptable that I can handle students of any age group.

I will put all my efforts into the betterment of the students and the organization.

Presently I am working as a Middle school Mathematics teacher in Global Indian International School, Singapore.

I am handling CLSP students of stage 7,8 and 9.

I am a Cambridge trained lower secondary mathematics teacher.
