Ranae Lee

I conduct visual arts workshops for learners, including persons with disabilities.

I am a female Singapore-based visual arts educator with a Bachelor's degree in Printmaking (Fine Arts) and a Master of Education (Special Education). I have 20 years of facilitation experience that ranged from visual arts workshops to historical/ art tours coupled with community-based projects and collaborations with schools and organisations that catered to participants ages 7 years old to adulthood from the mainstream and special needs community. I learned that every project and collaboration is driven by the participants and their enthusiasm.

The participants with different profiles led me to practice a mindfulness approach toward art making, art teaching, or art learning. Being an adjunct lecturer for the Centre of Lifelong Education (NAFA) and the School of Humanities and Social Science (Ngee Ann Polytechnic) and at the S R Nathan School of Human Development (Singapore University of Social Science).. I am able to share with participants and other educators about my visual arts background and experience in interacting with persons with special needs.
