Sasha Pj

I am an interdisciplinary creative with a background in arts and cultural leadership, arts management, design, creative writing, international project management, inter-personal relationship management, public speaking, conflict resolution and peace-building, and cultural diplomacy to name a few fields.

My research interests explore the dialogue between the role and value of art and the artist, global citizenship, cultural diplomacy, fandom diplomacy and activism, arts and education, social surrogacy theories and popular culture. I have been invited to present my research by the Norwegian Cultural Center in Singapore at Beyond Borders: Beyond The Frame, a cross-border exhibition streamed live between Singapore and Oslo, Norway. I have also, on prior occassion, been invited by LASALLE College of the Arts to address postgraduate students on the expectations of postgraduate research.

To add, I have a deep passion for teaching and working with young people. This is supported by my time as a teacher of art for children between the ages of 9-15 yrs, O/L and A/L Art and Design candidates, as well as special needs children in Sri Lanka. My time with Sri Lanka's Unity Mission Trust further adds to my desire to work with young people while nurturing mindsets, developing young leaders and working towards peace-building in a nurturing and supportive environment.

I am seeking meaningful employment in a field that bridges my love for arts and cultural leadership, with my passion for teaching and working with young people.

Select Clients

• Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Colombo, Sri Lanka: (Managed the conceptualization, design, print, publication, distribution and installation of the F&B launch campaigns for 4 out of 5 restaurants for the grand opening of the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo. This included the design, print (sourcing of materials, coordination with printers) and delivery of VVIP and VIP invitations for the event.
• One Galle Face Mall, Sri Lanka (by the Shangri-La Group of Companies): end-to-end international project management of the official launch campaign and opening ceremony of the OGF Mall in Sri Lanka.
  • Included coordinating with the OGF Mall’s Singaporean Executive Team; Conceptualization, design, production (coordination with off-site producers), publication, distribution and installation of all launch campaign deliverables. Bore the complete responsibility for the complete official launch campaign of the OGF Mall (digital, newspaper, on-site (digital screens, billboards, facades, in-mall wall panels)).
• Silver Aisle Wedding Registry and Premium Gifting Service: Complete end-to-end project management; from conceptualization, content writing, front-end design and completion (coordination with third-party producers) of Silver Aisle’s website.
• Heladiv Tea: Conceptualized and illustrated a selection of four premium, limited edition tea packages for the Russian market.
• Museum of Life’s Cosmic Origins by Dr Chandra Wickramasinghe: Read-through, collated and deconstructed the entire life’s work and research of Dr Wickramasinghe (spanning from 1981 – 2012) on the Theory of Panspermia; converted his research into creative content for the Museum; Designed and Curated the MLCO.
