Sayaka Kanda

I am Sayaka Kanda.

I am from Kobe, Japan.

I have a teaching license for Japanese language at junior high school level, and I also took a course to teach Japanese to non-Japanese people.

I was an English conversation teacher for children in Japan for four years, so I don't have any major problems communicating in English.

This is my sixth year in Singapore.

Since coming here, I have taught Japanese to Japanese children attending international and local schools, using the same curriculum as in Japan.

After that, I was the homeroom teacher at a kindergarten that taught bilingual Japanese and English.

I also have experience teaching lessons for non-Japanese adults.

My teaching style is to set small tasks and move forward step by step toward a bigger goal.

I try to organize and teach lessons so that you can understand and learn at least one thing in each lesson.

I believe that vocabulary size is also important in acquiring a language, so I will help you acquire as many vocabulary words as possible.

I will not only give you lessons, but also give you advice on how to be exposed to Japanese outside of lessons, so that you can acquire it more smoothly.
