Sharmine has over 10 years of experience in sustainability management, strategy formulation and ESG performance analysis.
Sharmine has over 10 years of experience in sustainability management, strategy formulation and ESG performance analysis. She currently leads consultancy projects and sustainability research at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with commercial and governmental stakeholders. Her specialisations includes the GRI, ISSB, TCFD, TNFD, SASB, SDG, GHG protocol, etc.
Prior to this, Sharmine was an Environment lead at the Singapore Environment Council, where she developed high impact sustainability strategies, project manage, and build capacity through trainings. She served on 4 strategic inter-governmental working committees charting the Sustainable Singapore Blueprint (SSB), a prominent national framework supporting Singapore's commitments under the United Nations (UN) 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and Paris Agreement.
Sharmine holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management (MEM) from the National University of Singapore. She is certified in ESG investing by the CFA Institute, and is a scholar from the University of Queensland, with a Bachelor in Hotel and Tourism Management (valedictorian, 1st class honours).
