Shaun Ng

I am an Incoming Year-4 Student in Singapore Management University. I major in Economics and 2nd Major in Data Science & Analytics. I hope to venture into finance and tech-related field through my knowledge in Economics and DSA.

I have gained valuable professional experience through various roles. As a Data & Analytics Consultancy Intern at NCS Group, I created data analysis for client meetings using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and designed performance tracking mechanisms for a Whole-of-Government project. I contributed to reducing cases by 60% through identifying root causes and implementing resolutions in the SAP system.

During my Partnerships & Strategy Internship at Our Brewing Stories (OBS), I enhanced café outreach in Singapore through effective email communication and social media strategies. I also designed impactful promotional slide decks and collaborated closely with the Founder on expanding the organization's outreach.

As an Operations Team Lead at the MOH Emergency Preparedness Response (EPR) Operations Cell, I facilitated the transportation of COVID patients, planned over 50 conveyances daily using Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and conducted investigations into conveyance planning errors.

These experiences have honed my skills in data analysis, strategic planning, partnership development, and operational coordination. I am now seeking new opportunities to apply my expertise and contribute to innovative and collaborative organizations.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Singapore Management University (SMU), majoring in Data Science & Analytics. This program has allowed me to develop a strong foundation in statistical learning, data analysis, and programming. Relevant coursework, such as Spreadsheet Modelling & Analytics, Statistical Learning with R, and Data Science with R, has equipped me with the necessary skills to derive insights and make data-driven decisions.

While pursuing my degree, my primary focus has been on mastering the field of Data Science & Analytics, complementing my interest in economics.
