Fresh Chemistry graduate who is seeking prospective careers in areas of analytical chemistry of natural sources.
From August 2022 to April 2023, I had collaborated with A/P Ang Wee Han NUS Lab of Bioinorganic Chemistry and tHEMEat Company, a local FoodTech startup company, for the investigation and synthesis of a novel flavor catalyst in plant-based meat alternative (PBMA) products with the purpose of enhancing and stimulating meatier flavors and aromas when added to meat analogues. In addition, I was significantly involved with optimizing qualitative and quantitative analytical methods for volatile components in samples with proficiency in experimental set-up and design in wet lab context for heat, moisture, and air-sensitive reagents for synthesis of flavor enhancers.
From March 2018 to September 2018, under the guidance of Dr Teow Yiwei from the Centre of Innovation for Complementary Health Products, I had facilitated the accreditation and validation methodologies for detecting organochlorine pesticide residues in herbal medications, necessitating the need to optimize analytical methods for up to 100 samples.
