Shiri Ong

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated student currently pursuing my Masters in Counselling degree, equipped with a strong foundation in Psychology and four years of valuable work experience in the mental health field. Passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges and promoting overall well-being, I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others through counseling and therapeutic interventions.

I have a strong background in the mental health field with experience in program management, community coordination, and case management. As a Programme Manager at the Agency of Integrated Care (AIC), I successfully implemented and managed community mental health pilot programs, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring program effectiveness. During my tenure as a Community Coordinator at SingHealth – Changi General Hospital, I supervised team members, coordinated care plans, and facilitated smooth care transitions for clients.

Additionally, as an Executive at Thuja Home @ Pelangi Village, I provided counseling, developed individualized care plans, and managed the operations of the facility. My expertise includes crisis intervention, stakeholder collaboration, and the development of capability frameworks.

I am currently pursuing a Masters in Guidance and Counselling at James Cook University in Singapore, with an expected completion date in November 2022. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor of Psychology (Science) from the same institution between March 2016 and November 2017. I also hold a Diploma in Psychology from Temasek Polytechnic, completed between May 2013 and May 2016.
