Shu Ying Gan

I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at NTU with a background in strategic planning and process automation. My professional experience includes architecting automated workflows and developing dynamic data dashboards to centralize and optimize organizational processes.

Currently, I serve as the Vice President (Events Management) of the Cultural Activities Club (CAC) and represent the club on the NTU Students' Union Council. In this role, I provide guidance and oversee four flagship special projects, liaising with university advisors and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of large-scale events for 1,000+ attendees. I master technical tools and thrive in roles that require a blend of analytical problem-solving and stakeholder management.

I have professional experience as a Strategic Planning Engineer Intern, where I focused on digital transformation and process optimization. I successfully architected and deployed automated workflows using Google Apps Script and developed dynamic data dashboards to centralize organizational processes and improve data integrity. Additionally, I have experience in educational enrichment, delivering complex scientific and engineering concepts to younger audiences through hands-on learning.

I am currently a third-year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), specializing in advanced engineering topics such as heat transfer and control systems. I was awarded 2nd Place in the Lifestyle Category for co-developing a Convertible Modular Shoe, demonstrating my ability to apply engineering principles to sustainable product design. Beyond academics, I hold a senior leadership position as the Vice President (Events Management) of the Cultural Activities Club (CAC) and represent the club on the NTU Students' Union (NTUSU) Council.
