Siew Yan Low

I am a Chemical Engineering graduate with one and a half years of working experience in sales and marketing industry. I have a great passion for process design and optimization, I have been using process simulation software such as Aspen Plus to achieve the desired yield of end-products and reduce utility consumption in my Capstone Project. I am interested in doing research and have participated in a 3-month research on oxidative protection coating for graphite materials in China.

I also published a review paper focusing on the performance of palm-based alpha methyl ester sulfonates in the formulation of heavy-duty laundry liquid detergents in Journal of Oleo Science. I am a self-motivated team player with fast-learning ability and great problem-solving skills. I am looking for a Sales / Process / Chemical Engineer position and I am ready to overcome the challenges.

One and a half years of working experience in sales and marketing industry and 3 months of internship experience as a Process Engineering Intern

I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University Malaysia. Below are some of my achievements throughout the 4 years of studies.

• Achieved Best Paper Award - First Place in Nanomaterials course recognized by Associate Professor and Dean
• Qualified as Finalist in the Technology & Innovation Start-up Business Idea Competition organized by university
• Published review article titled “Performance of Green Surfactants in the Formulation of Heavy-Duty Laundry Liquid Detergents with Special Emphasis on Palm Based Alpha Methyl Ester Sulfonates” under Journal of Oleo Science
• Participated in a 3-month research on oxidative protection coating for graphite material in Xiamen University China
