Over the past 28 years of design, design management, project management and teaching experience in India and Singapore, Dr. Sudhakar A. Kulkarni has undertaken Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) structures, Industrial projects, Pharma projects, and medium-rise buildings.
Currently he is associated with Napier MRT /North-South Corridor projects. Between 2013 & 2015, he managed the design works and construction support for Novartis-Bimorphs (Project: SG$ 1 billion), Singapore and Blast Mitigation projects, ExxonMobil Singapore. His design/ supervision /project management expertise include projects of precast structures, structures subjected to blast loads, MRT projects (underground/ above ground structures), industrial process plants, and cut and cover tunnels.
He involvement in MRT projects at Singapore include detailed design of NEL siding extension at Harbour Front Station, design reviews of Circle Line CCL4&5, design phase of Tuas Extension MRTs, Execution phase of Tan Kah Kee station, and Chennai-Metro MRT, India. He has authored technical publications in international journals and conferences, and has also rendered services as a peer reviewer for international journal papers including ASCE Structural Engineering.
