About
An accomplished veterinary scientist and animal physiologist with over 17 years of research experience spanning molecular microbiology, infectious disease, poultry physiology, and comparative biomedical research. Currently serving as Senior Lecturer at IMU University, where I teach Monogastric Animal Nutrition, Animal Production and Diseases, and Food Security. Before this, I was working as Senior Research Officer at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for 16 years.
I have built a strong track record in host-pathogen interactions, foodborne pathogen surveillance, acute phase protein responses, and gene expression studies. My multidisciplinary background combining a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Masters in Veterinary Science, and PhD in Animal Physiology which uniquely positions me to bridge animal and human health at the One Health interface. I am now seeking a faculty appointment to translate this research expertise into independent academic leadership and high-impact scholarship at NTU's School of Biological Sciences.
