My name is Terence. I graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2017 with a Computer Science major.
I worked as a Software Engineer for 4 years from start-up to the corporate environment, from FinTech to the Semiconductor industry. After that, I found a more suitable career, which is Product Management. So I decided to make my career switch to the Product Manager role at Lomotif - a short-video editing platform inspiring users to create videos every day.
At Lomotif, I work on two products. One is the Internal Tool used by internal teams. Another one is mobile apps used by end users.
For the internal tool, I build a series of features to automate the workflow and enable internal teams to monitor operations performance. I launched the Content Analysis feature to support the internal team in analyzing and curating top content for end users in mobile apps. As a result, the Content Analysis feature automates manual processes and improves operational efficiencies by 80%. For this feature, I led a team of three engineers, a product designer, a QA tester, a data analyst, and an operations team to build it from conception to launch in two months.
Regarding the second product, I work on user acquisitions for mobile apps. I launched an in-app rating & review feature to collect more 4-star and 5-star from users. That boosts average app ratings and encourages users to download apps more. As a result, this feature collects 4 & 5 stars by 80% more and also boosts the average app rating from 3.5 to 3.7 and store conversion rate by 4% in one month. For this feature, I led a team of three engineers, a product designer, a QA tester, a data analyst, and a product marketing manager to build this feature in one month.
Now I’m looking for a Product Manager role where I’m able to learn and achieve more impactful business outcomes. I think my experience in Product Management and Software Engineering will give me a great background to work with different departments and even take on more responsibilities in some other roles.
