- Involved in multiple tax advisory engagements such as tax compliance, capital allowance study, restructuring, setting up, merger & acquisitions and international tax.
- Part of the team involved in the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) which mandates the new global minimum tax and provided consultation for clients on the possible effects and strategies to overcome them.
- Worked on a new IRAS initiative on Tax Governance Framework and designed internal frameworks.
HSBC, Internship with Advance Proposition Team
- Assisted in system design and implementation of new bank account system through design planning and working with different stakeholders to solve existing problems in the implementation of the new system. Successfully implemented a new system and established strong relationships with the different stakeholders.
- Worked with the compliance team to update the SOP for the HSBC Advance operations segment to ensure that the protocols were updated and, in the process, built an excellent rapport with the legal and compliance team.
