Hi I’m Xin Ru! I recently graduated from SP with a diploma in Perfumery and Cosmetic Science. During my internship, I was exposed to various departments like QC, analysis, application, compounding and creation.

Mar 2023- Present

H&M (sales advisor)

• Handle cashiering duties (POS system)
• Respond the customer’s queries and directing customer to racks/ counters
• Maintain the floor, back stock and cash-point tidy, for adequate representation of the store

Eurofragance (Intern)

Quality Control Department:

-Operated relevant equipment such as densimeter, refractometer and colorimeter for organoleptic testing (colour, odour and aspect) on finish goods and raw materials daily

-Operated GC-FID and performed purity assay on fragrance samples

• Assisted with general lab support such as housekeeping and inventory of raw materials and finish

Application Department:

-Handled day-to-day application orders from customer service and fragrance development department

-Learned how to do a wide range of applications

• Supported in the replenishment/making of internal bases

Sampling Department

-Followed specific procedures/formulation to create fragrances

-Adapted concise and appropriate dosing techniques to ensure accuracy

Fragrance Development Department

-Coordinated and participated in the sensory assessment of fragrance goods

-Developed good olfactive understanding

-Assisted in library oil projects, by finding and shortlisting fragrances to match client's brief
