I believe that every child needs to be holistically equipped with the opportunity to learn and succeed. Fundamental life skills should be built into their character and learning attitude at a very young age. These efforts allow them to gain the ability to adapt quickly and adjust well in our rapidly changing world.
As a teacher, I believe in the importance of planning, designing, and executing developmentally appropriate activities that cater to children’s needs and interests. At the same time, it is essential to arouse their curiosity, encourage discovery and exploration so that they are constantly engaged.
Emilia once mentioned, a child’s learning environment act as the third teacher. Hence, I aim to create a positive learning environment so that my community of learners will thrive as they feel attach, secure and confident in their learning space. Under my care, I hope to empower my children to be strong-willed and resilient individuals who are not afraid of challenges and will not stop trying despite encountering setbacks.
I have been in the early childhood field since my diploma studies in 2016. I have taught in multiple schools and have experienced conducting centre-initiated projects, managing the school's transitional procedures, meeting ECDA licensing standards, setting up parent support groups and others.
Recently in October 2022, I completed my studies acquiring the Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education.
