Junior Java Developer

Junior Java Developer supporting the deployment, configuration, testing, and operational stability of enterprise manufacturing and production execution systems used in an automotive production environment. The role is fully on‑site and closely aligned with manufacturing, industrialization, and production ramp‑up activities.

Key Responsibilities

Deployments & Configuration

• Deploy new releases of manufacturing and integration systems according to agreed release and deployment processes
• Configure applications to support local production processes and business requirements

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform integration and system testing across manufacturing systems and related integrations
• Execute regression testing to ensure system stability after changes or upgrades
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) together with Business Users and Project Teams

Documentation

• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation (configuration, deployment notes, known limitations)
• Prepare business process and support documentation, including standardized troubleshooting procedures

Operational Support & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing applications, integrations, and environments
• Report defects, incidents, and technical findings to Product or Platform Teams with sufficient detail for root‑cause analysis

Industrialization & Commissioning Support

• Collaborate closely with Industrialization teams during commissioning and pre‑series production
• Provide hands‑on support to Business Users on system setup, operation, and usage in a production context

Reporting & Governance

• Provide regular status updates and progress reporting to Project Leads
• Participate in governance forums, coordination meetings, and delivery ceremonies

Required Skills

• Java and OOP fundamentals
• Basic understanding of backend–frontend integration
• SQL fundamentals and analytical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a structured, process‑driven industrial environment
• Willingness to work 100% on‑site in an automotive production setting

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools
• Knowledge of REST APIs and messaging systems
• Exposure to MES, automotive manufacturing, or industrial IT systems
