My name is Asma Rahmani, 27 years old. I have graduated from the higher institute of medical technologies of TUNIS in 2020. I have a bachelor degree in the field of biomedical engineering and two master degrees: A professional master in the field of biomedical engineering specialized in biomedical equipment and a research master in medical physics under the supervision of the professor of medical physics ‘Mounir Besbes’.
As a research project we worked on evaluation of positioning uncertainties in patients treated with intensity modulated conformal radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal cancer by calculating the CTV-PTV margins. As a professional project, we quantify the cardiac contraction by single-gene signal in MRI under MATLAB Software under the supervision of the doctor of biophysics ‘Narjes Ben Ameur’. As in fact, I am a medical physicist in the radiotherapy service in the Clinique of Dar Chifa of Sfax and previously at the hospital of Abderrahman Mami of Tunis and the institute of Salah Azaiez.
This experience provided me the opportunity to learn about the radiotherapy with Eleka and Varian, the commissioning of true beam (Varian) the quality control of the machine and the patient’s treatment before his treatment and to calculate the dosimetry of many organs such as nasopharyngeal, prostate, breast, medulloblastoma. In addition, we learnt the stereotaxic dosimetry and Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) and the IMRT technique. In fact, I developed my capacity to interact with all the team of radiotherapy as well as radiotherapist, phycists, radiotherapy technicians, workers.
Through my studies, I learned how to use write and promote articles, organisation of scientific events.
