Senior Software Engineer – Python & Java

This is you

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on backend and platform development.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python and Java.
• Proven experience designing and building large-scale, scalable backend platforms, services, and APIs.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, and data modeling principles.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/LLM frameworks and tooling, such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes, ideally AWS EKS, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience making or contributing to architectural and system design decisions.
• Solid understanding of production engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards within a team.
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple functions in an Agile or Kanban environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to discuss technical trade-offs with both engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience operationalizing LLMs or building internal AI/GenAI platforms.
• Experience with observability, including metrics, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Exposure to knowledge graphs, semantic search, RAG, or related retrieval technologies.
• Experience building reusable AI capabilities that support multiple products or use cases.

This is your role

• Lead architectural design and help ensure technical consistency across services.
• Design and develop reusable Generative AI services, APIs, and platform components.
• Turn AI prototypes and proof-of-concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to system design across multiple services and modules.
• Define and promote engineering best practices around scalability, observability, CI/CD, automated testing, and maintainability.
• Build and deploy scalable applications in Kubernetes / AWS EKS environments.
• Collaborate closely with product, platform, research, and engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical and engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and cross-team technical initiatives.
• Stay current with developments in Generative AI and support their responsible adoption.
