About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software/Firmware Engineer to join our Server Platform Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the core low-level software that powers our next-generation enterprise server infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between hardware and software, developing and optimizing BIOS/UEFI, bootloaders, and Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs).

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of computer architecture, excels at low-level hardware initialization, and possesses hands-on experience bringing up and porting Linux onto server-grade hardware platforms.

Responsibilities

• Platform Bring-up & Porting: Lead and support the porting, customization, and stabilization of Linux Board Support Packages (BSPs) on new server hardware architectures.
• Bootloader & Firmware Development: Develop, maintain, and optimize low-level firmware components including BIOS/UEFI, U-Boot, and secure boot flows.
• Kernel & Driver Engineering: Design, write, and debug Linux kernel patches and device drivers for server peripherals, storage interfaces, and custom silicon.
• Server Software Lifecycle: Collaborate closely with hardware teams to validate prototype boards, isolate signal/power integrity issues, and ensure production-ready software stability.
• Automation & Tooling: Create robust automated testing frameworks and deployment scripts to streamline firmware flashing, validation, and continuous integration pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Required Skills

• Familiar with C/C programming /debugging skills on embedded systems
• Familiar with Python/Shell skills
• Familiar with BIOS, BSP and Linux kernel/device driver development
• Familiar with BIOS, Uboot and the Linux boot process
• Experienced in Linux BSP porting for at least 1 year
• Server-related software development
