About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Technical Engineer to support a large enterprise network environment in Taipei, Taiwan.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise across enterprise networking, routing & switching, firewalls, load balancers, network security, incident management and operational support.

The successful candidate will act as a senior technical escalation point for L1/L2 teams and will support complex incident resolution, change implementation, root-cause analysis, vendor coordination and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise network and firewall environments.
• Investigate and resolve complex network and security incidents.
• Act as a technical escalation point for L1 and L2 support engineers.
• Review engineering work orders and technical implementation plans.
• Prepare and implement planned and emergency network changes.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring or critical incidents.
• Troubleshoot traffic passing through managed firewalls.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across load balancers and firewalls.
• Use packet captures and diagnostic tools to investigate network issues.
• Work with vendors during technical incident resolution when required.
• Review work products from Level 2 support teams and provide technical guidance.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical training.
• Support operational service-improvement initiatives.
• Follow established change-management, incident-management and ITIL processes.
• Participate in shift/on-call support when required.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience working in large enterprise Network Operations environments.
• Experience supporting environments with 1,000 network devices.
• Strong experience with enterprise network security and firewall operations.
• Strong TCP/IP and OSI-layer knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.

Cisco Infrastructure

Experience with:

• Cisco ACS

Network Security & Firewalls

Hands-on experience with:

• Check Point Firewalls
• Cisco Firewalls
• FortiGate
• Palo Alto
• Juniper
• NIDS / NIPS technologies
• NAT
• Application / URL filtering
• IPS and firewall security policies

Strong Check Point experience is required, including troubleshooting and BAU rule-base updates.

F5 & Zscaler

Strong experience with:

• F5 LTM
• F5 GTM
• F5 APM
• Configuration and troubleshooting

Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), including:

• Whitelisting troubleshooting
• SSL interception
• Certificate validation
• Internet-access troubleshooting
