About the Role

Youll join our AI team to build the Python foundation that makes our AI-powered products smarter and faster. Day to day, youll focus on the services for AI initiativesworking closely with AI engineers and data scientists to ship services and APIs. Over time, youll take on AI functionality development such as semantic retrieval and agent workflows, progressing toward ownership of AI-backed services end-to-end.

Current success is measured by reliable services and clear interfaces; future success is stronger AI/LLM capability in the systems you help deliverso users and customers feel the difference.

Responsibilities:

• Build & ship Python services and REST endpoints with clear, consistent error responses.

• Quality & delivery: contribute tests, reviews, and branch workflows; deliver via Jenkins pipeline.

• Reviews & Docs: participate in code/design reviews and document key technical decisions.

• quarterly objectives: under mentoring, deliver one scoped AI-backed mini-project each quarter.

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Programming languages: proficient in Python for production services.

• Version control & CI/CD: daily Git usage and experience running Jenkins pipelines.

• Foundations: basic logging/metrics/health checks; ability to follow specs, document changes clearly, and deliver on time.

• Languages: native Mandarin and intermediate-level English.

Nice-to-Have

• REST basics: exposure to implementing RESTful APIs (routing, versioning, status codes, pagination, auth basics) with consistent error semantics (e.g. Problem Details).

• LLM exposure: experience calling LLM APIs with timeouts/retries and basic cost/latency awareness; prototypes or features built with OpenAI/Gemini/Azure.

• Information retrieval: understand embeddings/vector search; experience with a vector store (pgvector or MongoDB Atlas Vector Search).

• DB skills: comfortable in Postgres and familiar with SQL performance for API workloads.

• Container & Cloud: exposure to container packaging (Docker) and cloud-hosted deployments (Kubernetes).

• Observability tooling: familiarity with Prometheus/Grafana dashboards or tracing basics.
